What we did

Several concrete mixes were tested with different aggregates were done. In the end the sparkling effect of the Labrador Black was chosen over the black glassy aggregates Glanskies. However, Glanskies was used as a face-mix aggregate together with MSN-Granite in the adjoining staircase. By using the glass-like aggregate the look of the black “biotite” mineral in natural Granite slabs is imitated to give a natural feel to the concrete paving.
